The Light Never Lies goes Live on Amazon

Blue-green Book Cover - The Light Never lies

The big day has arrived. The Kindle version of The Light Never Lies (sequel to Disappearing in Plain Sight) is live today on Amazon. And here’s a nice little case of serendipity – today is my daughter’s birthday, so I’ll always be able to remember when my second book came out!

Book Synopsis

As circumstances spiral out of control, Lisa-Marie is desperate to return to Crater Lake. The young girl’s resolve is strengthened when she learns that Justin Roberts is headed there for a summer job at the local sawmill. Her sudden appearance causes turmoil. The mere sight of Lisa-Marie upsets the relationship Liam Collins has with trauma counsellor, Izzy Montgomery. All he wants to do is love Izzy, putter in the garden and mind the chickens. Bethany struggles with her own issues as Beulah hits a brick wall in her efforts to keep the organic bakery and her own life running smoothly. A native elder and a young boy who possesses a rare gift show up seeking family. A mystery writer arrives to rent the guest cabin and a former client returns looking for Izzy’s help. Life is never dull for those who live on the secluded shores of Crater Lake. Set against the backdrop of Northern Vancouver Island, The Light Never Lies is a story of heartbreaking need and desperate measures. People grapple with the loss of cherished ideals to discover that love comes through the unique family ties they create as they go.

A Polite Call to Action

If you enjoyed Disappearing in Plain Sight, you’ll love picking up on the lives of the characters one year down the road. If you haven’t read Disappearing in Plain Sight, rest assured – The Light Never Lies can stand-alone (though a warning here – it may make you starving to read the first in the series).

Please purchase soon – give my all-important Amazon ranking a wee boost, and if you’re inclined (and oh, please be so inclined), post a review as soon as you can.

Yay, fantasic Francis – I’ve downloaded it already. Certainly I’ll write a review, though that may be a little way down the line. Well done and I hope you have every success with it. Happy birthday to your daughter.

    • Thanks so much for the support, Roy. I know it will take a while for the reviews to start rolling. I look forward to yours, for sure. I told my daughter – You’ll always remember the day you turned 32 because that was the day The Light Never Lies hit the Amazon site. She wasn’t so sure.

  2. Exciting news, Fran! Best of luck with the follow-up.

  3. I’m so happy for you, Francis! I look forward to reading your latest creation. I have a Kindle, but I might need to purchase the paper copy because the cover is so beautiful.

Reblogged this on through the luminary lens and commented:
Good news over on my wife Francis’ blog – she has just released the kindle version of her new novel. Set against the backdrop of Northern Vancouver Island, The Light Never Lies is a story of heartbreaking need and desperate measures. People grapple with the loss of cherished ideals to discover that love comes through the unique family ties they create as they go. Some of you might recognize the cover image, as the view from our front deck. To get a fuller sense of what it is all about, why don’t you head on over to Fran’s blog, Disappearing In Plain Sight.

  5. You two are certainly full of creativity and beauty. Good luck with the second book, and I agree, the cover is great. I don’t have a kindle and am late ordering, so I’ll get both books. Does it help to ask our local library to have these available?

    • Requests to libraries are always welcome. If you keep at them they may purchase a copy or two and put them into circulation. That’s what happened for me at our Vancouver Island Regional Library. There are now 3 books in continual circulation. I’m a big fan of libraries 🙂

I would really love to hear what you think about this post . . .
