On the Road Again: Blog Tour Request

DSC_0107-2

As many of you know, I have recently launched The Light Never Lies, book two in the Crater Lake series. Rather than book the services of a blog tour group (expensive and a bit difficult to determine what it is I’ll be getting), I thought I’d put together something on my own by shouting out my availability via my own blog to my own followers. Brilliant idea, right?

I am available to do guest posts, author interviews, and of course reviews of my new book are always coveted. I’ll sing, I’ll dance, I’ll wear fire for a hat. (I’ve heard that injecting a little humour while making requests is always helpful.) I can supply a custom photo for your post.

If I can come up with about a dozen guest slots, I’m going to give away two free softcover copies of The Light Never Lies on this tour. One for the blogger who manages to get the most engagement from a  post featuring yours truly (likes and comments) and one for a commenter – all names to be drawn from a hat. These books will be mailed to the lucky recipients.

So, followers, put on your thinking caps and let me know your angle. Together we can work on a personalized guest post that will make us all happy. You can let me know of your interest in the comments below or email me directly – guenettefrancis@gmail.com

Hi. You would be welcome to do a guest post on my blog. I think my followers would be interested in anything to do with place – the community, the architecture/design of the houses, Izzy’s garden…. How you evolved these places and how they shape the story… Jane

    • Lovely idea about the garden, the architecture/design of the house and how that shaped the story!!! I’m putting that on the top of the guest post writing slot. We’ll work out dates etc. later. I want to have the whole tour with dates set up so I can post about it ahead and talk about the various bloggers who are hosting me. Should be good promo for all of us. Thanks.

  3. You are more than welcome to do a guest post on my blog, Francis. This is a wise business decision and I would love to help you save a little money.

I’d love to have you on the 4 A.M. Writer. I’ve got a few ideas for post topics:
    1) The “incubation period” you mentioned in a comment on my last post. This idea intrigues me.
    2) Your personal writing process, from spark of inspiration to publication
    3) The business side of writing
    4) Your career transition to full-time author, and how you make it work

Let me know if any of these appeal to you.

    • Love your organized thinking, Gwen! I like the idea of career transition to full-time author and a point that you brought out in your recent post – this idea (no matter how we rail against it) that money made = status conferred in this world. How do we combat that in ourselves, let alone anywhere else? I’ll get back to you and we can discuss possible dates. As I was saying to Jane in a comment above, I want to have all tour dates booked, so I can do a post to promote all the hosts.

Francis, I’m booking my blog for May right now and have May 21 and 28 open. You’re welcome to write a guest post or do an interview with me. By then, I hope to have your book read and reviewed!

I would really love to hear what you think about this post . . .
