It was a calm day with beautiful blue skies. Our lake can often be calm in the morning but come noon we usually see a nice chop – wonderful when the weather is warm – cooling breezes are always around by 3:00 in the afternoon.
Love the light of late summer – richer and less bleaching than mid summer. Summer has been good here with a warm, dry September, but suddenly the nights are drawing in and the evenings have a whiff of autumn coolness. Trees seem reluctant to turn this year, and flower beds still glow with colour. Long may it last.
OMG! Did the lake really look like that? It’s almost blinding. Such a beautiful bright blue.

Majestically beautiful!
Thanks – and thanks for taking the time to acknowledge the beauty.
Absolutely magnificent, Francis! 😀
Ahh . . . thanks, Dianne. We don’t get out enough and canoe around, that’s for sure.
Absolute stillness in that shot, an air of anticipation maybe.
A friend called this shot – reflection perfection – and I think I agree. Maybe anticipation for the morning coffee when we returned.

Gorgeous and I wish I were there! Wow! Perfect day, weather and scenery for wordless post! We cannot be ‘wordless’ when we see it!
It was hard for me, too 🙂 I consoled myself by adding lots of tags.
