Gosh, I think I’m quite glad not to have any of those visiting my garden! Squirrels … other people’s hens … but no, not those however cuddly they try to look!
These visitors certainly do need to be handled with care, so to speak. I use a zoom to photograph and make sure I am on higher ground and close to my door. So far, they’re fairly polite – using the paths through the garden and only eating grass. Once they start tramping through cultivated spaces, I think I’ll have to bring the air horn out.
